Happy 1st Halloween!

Blakeley celebrated her first halloween at home as a ladybug. There were no trick-or-treaters at our house to introduce her to though. Happy 1st Halloween to our little ladybug!

Boiler Up!

Blakeley attended (kind 0f) her first Purdue football game! She actually only tailgated in the parking lot but I think it still counts since we made the trip to West Lafayette. She met some amazing Pi Phi ladies, a few of Casey's friends, and family too. It was her first trip to Purdue, but won't be her last!

Fall Break

Blakeley's Mimi and cousin Shaylynn came to visit over Fall Break! We had so much fun playing and laughing. Blakeley got a box of toys, books, and clothes, as well as a big comfy Purdue blanket. We went to the American Quarter Horse Congress, it was Blakeley's first horse experience. Thanks for coming to visit!

The Majors Family

Tim & Kristin, friends from high school, and their two boys Max & Luke came to visit their sweet new nephew Owen and took time to visit and meet Blakeley at lunch. It was so great to see them!

Purdue vs. Penn State

We had a great time visiting with the Heynoski family for the Purdue vs. Penn State game...even though Purdue lost.

Reagan & Riley are such sweet girls! It was so fun to watch them play with Blakeley!

3 Months!

Blakeley is 3 months old! The "4th trimester" is over. She loves to sit up and take in the environment around her. She is also enjoying using her legs for standing and jumping. She is starting to enjoy tummy time a lot more too now that she can hold her head up higher. She is also talking, squealing and screaming more and more.
We started a Mommy & Baby yoga class, which she loves. She smiles and talks the entire time, she loves the swinging circle (the mom's swing the babies in their arms towards each other while standing in a circle). We are having so much fun watching her grow!

An apple a day, keeps the Doctor away!

Blakeley took her first trip to an apple orchard! We took a little Sunday drive to Lynd's Fruit Farm in Pataskala, Ohio, about 30 minutes east of Columbus--the weather was so gorgeous, we had to spend the entire weekend outdoors. We got Macintosh apples for making applesauce, Suncrisps for eating and baking, pumpkins for carving and gourds for decorating. I enjoyed all of these things before Blakeley became a part of our lives (okay, before she became our entire life!), but now I enjoy them with her so much more!

We had so much fun this weekend that she fell asleep so fast after we got home.

Out for a drive

It was a beautiful weekend and Blakeley took her longest car ride yet, to Hocking Hills State Park located in Logan, Ohio, about an hour and 15 minute drive southeast of Columbus. She doesn't really care to be in her carseat at all, unless she is sleeping, so we were wondering how she would take it. We have several long car trips planned in the next few months, so we were testing out how things would go...within a mile away from home, she had exploded in tears! We stopped to contemplate turning back but discovered that she just needed a diaper change, change of clothes (yes, it was that bad!) and we were back on the road. She slept almost the whole way.
We had a great time enjoying the beauty of Hocking Hills and being outdoors. We went hiking through the woods and to Old Man's Cave, she loved being outside looking at the trees, rocks, and waterfalls. It was so exciting that she fell asleep!

Hoffmeyer Visit take 2

The Hoffmeyer family came to visit, it was a chilly weekend but we still had a great time together. It was so great to see Katrina and Ben again, and have Chad visit for the first time. Casey and Chad went to the OSU vs. Michigan State game while Katrina, Ben, Blakeley and I enjoyed the warm indoors. Our plans were changed due to the cold, rainy weather but we managed to get out and had lunch at the North Market. Blakeley and Ben had so much fun talking and playing together!
