Playdate with Charley and Rosemary

We traveled to Ann Arbor, Michigan with Casey for a meeting.  While he was working, we were playing with some great friends!  We loved visiting with the Churchville family!

Guitar Hero

Casey is Blakeley's guitar hero...he can play a total of about 2 songs but she doesn't mind.  She loves playing with him, too!

Baby Picnic

Blakeley and her playgroup pals enjoyed playing together at the Franklin Park Conservatory.  We took a walk around the grounds on a beautiful, warm day and then had a picnic under some huge trees.  We had so much fun!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

We traveled to Indiana to visit with family and friends for St. Patrick's Day.  We went to the parade in Indianapolis on Friday with Mimi, Shay, Grandma and Grandpa.  We then went to visit the Thackers in their new home and watch the basketball games.  We had a great time visiting with family and friends and celebrating St. Patrick's Day and March Madness with them.  

Early Spring...or Summer?!

The weather has been beautiful this spring, although it doesn't feel much like spring instead it feels like summer.  We have been taking advantage of the nice weather with walks each day and going to the park.  She likes to be outside and is enjoying the swings and playground at the park!

8 Months Old!

Blakeley is growing up so fast!  She is wearing 9-12 month clothes, probably not for too long!  She definitely went through a growth spurt last week--I could tell by the lack of sleep and massive food consumption!  She is crawling, pulling herself up to stand and is not satisfied with any of that...now she is on a mission to walk!  She actually has two methods of crawling, one typical crawling move for the carpet areas and then a tripod, like scoot for the slippery wood floors.  She is singing, laughing, and talking a lot.  She is also expressing her emotions very clearly, she has officially had her first temper tantrum.  She likes to explore all the things that are on the lower shelves around the house and likes to play with anything paper or cardboard.  The girl is obsessed with paper! She likes to empty the toy baskets and buckets and then move on to something else, letting me pick up after her.  She is super busy these days! I couldn't even get a decent picture, she is so busy!

Crawling!

Blakeley is on the move, she is crawling and is so happy about it.  She thinks "I'm FINALLY crawling!" and we think, "Oh my, she is crawling ALREADY!"  She is also pulling herself up to stand in her crib and along the furniture.  It is so great to see her accomplish these developmental milestones, but our house is not completely baby-proofed...as we are discovering as she is moving all over and finding and discovering new things.
